Wanna a little taste of Freddy Krueger?
The remake or reimagining or revisit or retake (or whatever it is the call remakes of horror movies this day) of A Nightmare on Elm Street and it stars Watchmen’s Jackie Earle Haley.
They just put out a teaser trailer (that’s similar to the one fans who were in HALL H at Comic-Con got to see) and it shows Haley in all his glory as the lovable Freddy Krueger… okay, lovable is the wrong way to describe Freddy, but I just love Haley so much that it makes me love Freddy!

Really????????? Does no one in Follywood have any original thoughts? Rhetorical question, repeatedly answered……and then answered again 20 yrs later. Reboot “I Dream of Jeannie” and call it a day. Fuck off already….recycle everything but old ideas. Fire the morons that Green Light this crap! Boycott this “Straight to DVD” bullshit!!!! Pathetic.

How does Haley keep finding all the roles he was born to play? That’s actor’s luck, fo sho.
These are the same jack-holes that remade Friday the 13th (They portrayed Jason as a runner and an electrician). I hope they can do a better job with Nightmare. I would hate to see them screw up another classic.
On the brighter side… Jackie Earle is great!

it’s nice to see Jackie’s career taking off from his Bad News Bears days. Even if it took 30 years to finally get it going. He was such a bad ass on that motorcycle. I do like him.
gonna see it just because well theres gonna be alot of blood and always good to watch a horror movie. was just hoping that writers would get off there asses and makes movies that are based off old tv shows, books,comics,or movies that already were made.
Just seen trailer. Looked awsome right the way up til they showed a bit of the new look Freddy’s face. Hmmmmmmmmm………….. Really should have made him look like the original. That was scarey!!!!!! Still, I will go and see it. Loved the originals right the way up to Wes Cravens New Nightmare! Bring back Robert Englund!!!!!!!!!!

He was the best thing in Watchmen, which is saying something because Watchmen was chock full of awesome. I might see it for that reason alone.
Wow, Jackie and the Kurgan in the same film? I’m sold. This looks pretty good, though I wish the make up could have been a little better, and I hope they give Jackie’s “Freddy” the same wit that Englund brought to the role.
They should remake the Abbott & Castello films only this time starring Pierra & Munn the greatest comedy double act of these times. I mean who else is there.
But this is just too soon, much too soon.
Typical Hollywood mentality. They never know what the people really want. They think we won’t pay to go see original ideas, that we’ll only put up money for established franchises. So they butcher old favorites by rebooting them, when all we really want is something new!
I remember Krueger when it first came out and I was a little kid and it terrified the crap out of me and it still does.
I still remember Nancy.
This series and the Final Destination series still creep me out.
…..I’m not feeling that Robert England isn’t Freddy Krueger…I’m also not feeling Freddy Krueger looking like a average burn victim. All they had to do was cast Robert England as Freddy with updated Special Effects, and make the storyline more demonic in nature. without Freddy doing campy one liner jokes. That was my dream (no pun intended) Freddy Krueger movie. This sucks..I can tell already.

I am so ready for this movie. I’m a huge fan of the movies and I as much as I loved robert englunds work I think its time to take the movies back to the roots of horror not jokes or wise cracks.I just hope it goes back to the balls out terror of the original.I think haley will be just as creepy as englund was in the first but the make up is not my favorite he kinda looks like a cross between voldermort and freddy but you cant win them all.
earle haley is cool ever since i saw him in Breaking Away, but michael bays films give me an f’n headache. i will always like the original with englund, depp and langenkamp.

Jackie Earle Haley might be an ok replacement,but the only real freddy was and always well be ROBERT ENGLUND,which was the only good thing about nightmare on el street to begin with .this remake/re launch is ganna suck speicaly if its rated pg-13.it needs to be at least R for decent viewing and its micheal bay bbbbbbooooooooooooooooooooo,what he wasnt happy ruining transformers now hes making it a goal to destory the already shitty horror flims as well,tsk tsk micheal you already fail.
