Oh happy day for stoners!!

Young Obama smoking weed.

Young Obama smoking weed.

On Monday the Nobel Peace Prize Winner Barrack Obama issued new guidelines for arresting those who are both legally selling and buying the marijuana.

The new policy tells prosecutors to stop wasting their time going after those in compliance with the state law, specifically those providing or using medical marijuana.

The 3 page long memo urges the prosecutors in the 14 states allowing medical marijuana and to top officials at the FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration to go after marijuana cases that involve violence, the illegal use of firearms, selling pot to minors, money laundering or involvement in other crimes.

While the DEA and FBI may be upset about the new policy, medical marijuana advocates are excited that the Obama has kept his word on changing the policy.

Bruce Mirken of the Marijuana Policy Project says the change “moves the federal government dramatically toward respecting scientific and practical reality.”

13 states now allow the use of medical marijuana and 14 states currently have medical marijuana legislation pending.

Here are the lucky 13… in case you’re thinking of moving:

Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington.

Obama finds nobel peace prize in gift bag

obama

President Obama has been president for only 8 months and he has already won The Nobel Peace Prize…

Yes, being the first black president was not enough. He also gets The Nobel Peace Prize!

And the most awesome part- he’s the first recipient of the honor who got the Peace Prize based on just his ASPIRATIONS. That’s right. Most people have to DO something… Obama got it just for having great goals.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee said it honored his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”

The president had not been mentioned as among front-runners for the prize, and the roomful of reporters gasped when the chairman of the Nobel committee, announced Obama’s name.

Umm… Tehy’re giving out Nobel Peace Prizes based on aspirations?!!!

ATTENTION Nobel Peace Prize Peeps: I, Olivia Munn, would like to hereby and this forth day thus announce my very serious goals and aspirations. I would like to submit that my goals are just as great, if not better than Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize-worthy aspiratons:

- I aspire to make a hoverboard.

- I aspire to give a bag of Ramen noodles to everyone in Darfur.

- I have a goal to aspire to one day do something great enough to get a Nobel Peace Prize.

….. Cool! So…. uh, let me know!

Is Obama flip-flopping again?

obama

So, during his campaign he screamed “transparency”- our president needs to be transparent in the dealings with our government.

He recently admitted that he would not release photos of American soldiers torturing prisoners. A lot of people called Obama a hypocrite for that. Obama explains that releasing the photos could put more American soldiers at danger when they enrage the enemy soldiers. That makes sense to me. Okay, we know there was torture, but to put out the pictures at the risk of putting our soldiers in a more dangerous situation, is not okay.

But, now Obama seems to be flip-flopping again. On Friday, the Obama administration dared a federal judge to do what no judge has yet done: disclose classified data the government has declared a national security state secret. The disclosure would be 3-year-old lawsuit weighing whether a sitting U.S. president may bypass Congress and adopt a program of eavesdropping on Americans without warrants.

The classified data in question shows that telephone calls by two American lawyers for a now-defunct Saudi charity were intercepted by the government without warrants in 2004. Without that, the defendants would not get a fair day in court.

The judge has even said he would keep the papers private to the defendant’s law team, and WOULD NOT put it out publicly.

But, Obama’s administration doesn’t want it to happen.

hhhmm. What do you guys think about this? The defendant’s need it for a fair trial. The document basically shows that Bush eavesdropped on Americans without a warrant. Thoughts?
