Ain’t It Cool News is saying that right now a one minute, 3D demo of Iron Man 2 is being shuttled around through the execs at Marvel, Paramount, and Disney to see if it is worth the money.

I think 3D is cool and all, but I honestly don’t think it’s worth it. Seriously- every time we here a movie is in 3D we all get excited, put on those damn glasses and then wait only to be disappointed that there are only 3 small scenes in 3D! Superman and UP were like that. So the few 3D scenes I saw were cool, whatever.. But then the rest of the goddamn movie I have a headache from wearing those damn glasses.

So, if they’re going to make Iron Man 2 in 3D, they better make it more than just a couple scenes. They should do ALL action scenes in 3D- that would be worth it.

USA Today posted new pics from Iron Man 2.

Marvel has announced that Natalie Portman will be joining Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. She will play the role of Jane Foster. The lead role is being played by Chris Hemsworth, who you might recognize in the small role as Captain Kirk’s dad in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek.

And Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Iron Man 2 with Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johannson and Mickey Rourke on the cover:

It comes out May 7, 2010! ALSO, Marvel Studios and Paramount have announced they’ll have a panel for Iron Man 2 at Comic-Con on Saturday, July 25th from 4-5 pm in Hall H. Seth Gordon, director of The King of Kong, is in talks to direct a big screen adaptation of King Dork, a book by author Frank Portman.

It’s a high school dramedy about a teenage misfit who seeks refuge in music, and tries to uncover the truth about his father’s death. The book starts out with the lead character finding a copy of JD Sallenger’s A Catcher in the Rye and then becomes immersed in the world of the book… or something like that. I loved The King of Kong, so I’m hoping I’ll love King Dork… hhmm.. Maybe he can make a movie about me called King Pie??

MTV talked to Nicolas Cage, and he said he’s still interested in a sequel to Ghost Rider but would like to do a “reconceive.” He wants to move away from the “Western style of the first film, he sees a second film as more of an ‘international story’ that may bring the character to Europe for a team-up with the Catholic Church.”

If I wasn’t already in great company on Iron Man 2, Jon Favreau has added the legendary Stan Lee to the film.

Lee will play journalist Larry King and interview Tony Stark on his latest inventions, including the new, modified BLACK Iron Man suit.
