Um…not too sure about this one.
Since when did Robert Downey Jr. become the greatest thing since sliced bread?
Yeah okay…Iron Man.
Whoopee!
I will probably go see it.
But I have my doubts.
Plus, Ritchie has not impressed me AT ALL.
Snatch was his last great. (REALLY)
Ever since then he has been off his rocker.
Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries who first appeared in publication in 1887. He is the creation of Scottish-born author and physician Arthur Conan Doyle. A brilliant London-based “consulting detective”, Holmes is famous for his intellectual prowess, and is renowned for his skilful use of astute observation, deductive reasoning and inference to solve difficult cases.
>
Holmes uses addictive drugs, which he turns to especially when lacking stimulating cases. Holmes is a habitual cocaine user, which he injects in a 7 percent solution, often using a special syringe that he keeps in a leather case. Holmes is also an occasional user of morphine, but expressed strong disapproval when he visited an opium den. All three were legal in late-19th-century England.
>
Dr Watson reflects Victorian medical orthodoxy by having no medical objection to Holmes’ drug use. Morally, however, he disapproves of his friend’s drug use, describing it as the detective’s “only vice,” and expressing concern over the effect it may have on Holmes’ mental health and superior intellect. In later stories, Watson claims to have “weaned” Holmes off drugs. Even so, according to his doctor friend, Holmes remains an addict whose habit is “not dead, but merely sleeping.

Doesn’t sound like this movie at all and this seems like it is set in the Wild Wild West Of London like someone said earlier, also I agree it looks like The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or it could be Die Hard: Ground Zero with Sherlock being John McClane’s Great Great Uncle.

Think this film I will leave alone, Guy Ritchie has not made a good film in ages, so that puts me off as well (RocknRolla was average at best but in between Snatch and that they were awful films in that 9 years), having said that this will likely be a hit amongst the action fan film goers and Sherlock Holmes will be forever tainted with being yet another Die Hard type character.
RDJ is a genius and Guy Ritchie was once viable but this trailer did nothing for me. It looks like a hot mess of a movie that doesn’t know what it wants to be.
this is a movie i am actually looking forward to. just the trailer alone was exciting. just hoping that’s not the only good scenes. i wouldn’t think so though because Jr does good stuff.
On one hand it looks like it’ll be a action comedy type deal, like Wild Wild West or Rush Hour. On the other hand, that means it’ll not at all be “classic” Holmes. Either way, I’d still like to see it, I guess.
I’ve said this before but I still think of Downey playing Moriarty more than Holmes. I’m not uninterested but I’m hoping to see some more typical Sherlock Holmes type stuff in future trailers.
I’m a pretty big Sherlock Holmes fan. I think Robert Downey Jr. is a very good actor, and I’m a huge fan of Guy Ritchie’s earlier work. However…
The trailer makes the movie look useless, stupid, and VERY far from the overall feeling of the Sherlock Holmes series. I TRULY hope the trailer is misleading as to the overall nature of the film, which they often are to attract a wider audience (and the fact that they use so much of what appear to be the same 2 scenes makes this a distinct possibility).
But with my luck, the movie will be EXACTLY as the trailer makes it seem. ~_~;;;
wow, what a piece of tripe
I thought Depp had the part? And, what’s with the kicking and fighting and all the ladies man crap. Didn’t he do all that in Ironman. I would love to see a realistic Sherlock Holmes that’s interesting, mysterious, and maybe even scary. Looks like another Nicholas Cage action thriller and those movies suck!
I know this has nothing to do with this trailer but can somone help me with sending the playboy to olivia? I have it and im ready to send but how would i go about sending it? would i pu tit in 2 envelopes and mail it so theres another one for return?
The trailer is hilarous and full of action. If the writers can keep with the character of the book and add the stuff above. This movie may be worth watching.
Im waiting for hollywood to stop snorting coke and put the crack pipe down and make a decent freeking movie. thanks bye.

SUPER SERIOUS QUESTION: HOW MUCH DOES THE AVERAGE INVISALIGN COST?
P.S
Revenge of the fallen wasn’t that great
guy ritchie is the shit!!!!
snatch and lock stock and two smoking barrels !!
I agree with Master Gio, it doesn’t really look like Sherlock Holmes. I don’t know, I think I’ll wait to Netflix it.
An actor who’s been to rehab playing an opium addict? Perfect!
It’s nice to see Jude Law is still finding work.
ha ha so effing funny

I hope I am totally wrong about this.

Oh, I am all about watching that when it comes out. RDJr rocks, man.
Hmm, you know it looks like fun, but it just don’t look like Sherlock Holmes!
Looks like a slightly different version of the first trailer…lol. I’m SOOOO there!
Has anyone who is cheering about this ever seen a Sherlock Holmes movie before, or god forbid, read a book?…that is no Sherlock Holmes movie.
On one hand it looks like it’ll be a action comedy type deal, like Wild Wild West or Rush Hour. On the other hand, that means it’ll not at all be “classic” Holmes. Either way, I’d still like to see it, I guess.
I can’t judge an entire movie based on a trailer. Anything can be taken out of context. Still hope it’s a good one, though.
Iunno, I’m not impressed. Didn’t picture Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes at all.
I’m reminded of Hudson Hawk for some reason. I’m not sure that’s a good thing.
If you’re going to make a generic action hero movie, why soil the name of “Sherlock Holmes” with it?
This is going to be a great movie!!!
I’ve said this before but I still think of Downey playing Moriarty more than Holmes. I’m not uninterested but I’m hoping to see some more typical Sherlock Holmes type stuff in future trailers.
Big fan of Downey and Ritchie.Sherlock Holmes is a great character too….and by the look of it,Downey has put a real interesting spin on it.I am there!
Hope it’ll be good. Just can’t tell from the trailer…

This movie looks a little too “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” for my taste.
Was so not psyched for this movie but seeing the trailers is really getting the blood pumping for it!
YES! One of my favorite book serieses’es! Is Professor Moriarty in it? I hope so.
RDJ is mah hero. I’ll be checking this movie out when it drops
RDJ is on a roll right now. Must be cool working on all these projects back to back.
We will have to see I am not sure yet. Looks good but I have seen bad movies that were spawned from great trailers.
I loved Snatch from Guy Ritchie & I also love Robert Downey jr & together i think it may be a win but it also can be a fail we’ll just have to see
RDJ is the shit. That is all
this movie will be elementary my dear olivia.
Hells yeah!!!
I’ll see anything with Rachel McAdams in it.
i’am sorry but i cant stand Robert Downey Jr
wow, what a piece of tripe
I thought Depp had the part? And, what’s with the kicking and fighting and all the ladies man crap. Didn’t he do all that in Ironman. Downey Jr + Guy Ritchie = EPIC WIN. Can’t wait for this.
I take it you’re being sarcastic???
Downey Jr + Guy Ritchie = EPIC disaster. Can’t waist time for this???
I like Sherlock, and Downey is a good.
But this one looks like a cult classic at best?

I know this has nothing to do with this trailer but can somone help me with sending the playboy to olivia? I have it and im ready to send but how would i go about sending it? would i pu tit in 2 envelopes and mail it so theres another one for return?

The trailer is hilarous and full of action. If the writers can keep with the character of the book and add the stuff above. This movie may be worth watching.
looks awesome.
Round of applause for Downey Jr please, he’s totally rocking it.
This movie looks amazing. I can not wait until it comes out. Robert Downey Jr. is an incredible actor.
This actually looks good. And Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor and is good for the role.
