  1. always wanted you in my “guild” :)

  2. FIRST world of warcraft mountain dew, now a movie??? why cant blizzard just stick to the game??? i mean theyre getting 15 dollars a month from each of the 7 million players! god theyre greedy. oh and dont forget all the money you spend on the expansions goes to blizzard too.and they have 2 other successfull series of games too. which includes warcraft (strategy) and starcraft (stratagey). blizzard is freakin rich. you just wait. IF THIS MOVIE COMES OUT THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF NERDS IF NOT MILLIONS ALL ACROSS THE WORLD WILL CAMP OUTSIDE THE THEATRE TO SEE THIS.

  3. Pleeeeease Sam don’t mess this one up. I wonder who gets casted and what story they will make? How can they not go the LOTR route?

  4. I guess we can kiss Evil Dead 4 goodbye for another year or two. Hey Sam you might want to rethink your priority while Campbell still young enough!

  5. Haven’t ever played the game i don’t really have a basis to comment.I will just take this film on it’s own merit.

My favorite item in WoW? The Tenacious Defender…..If Bruce Campbell is in the movie I’ll check it out.

  7. Sam Raimi stinks.

  8. I honestly, sincerely wish I could say that I’ll never bother seeing this movie, but I can’t. Soon as it’s available for ‘free’ somewhere I’m so gonna watch it, probably love it, and geek out all over it.
Bruce Campbell in an Orc suit!

  9. sounds like it should be good!

  10. Hahaha, “World of Warcraft” is okay as a game for what it is, but this is one of the worst ideas I’ve read come out of Hollywood yet. People who don’t play won’t bother, it’ll look like shit if it’s not animated, and those that do see it will bitch about X character not being in it, or being done wrong, or what have you. On the other hand, it’ll be a riot to see the Hot New Actress (who will never be heard from again) playing Jaina trying to do a romantic scene with the guy in a big green rubber suit playing Thrall.

  11. If he puts Ash in the movie then I’m in.

pardon the pun, but WoW. I love me some Sam Raimi, so if anyone can possibly make this movie palatable it would be him. I don’t expect much and don’t know if this will even ever get off the ground but who knows. :P

  13. Sweet! Does this mean that Korean and Chinese men will enter the theater and stay until they die of exhaustion and dehydration?

World of Warcraft is uber gay

  15. sounds interesting…but i do not have hope for a wow film

  16. The only way i would see this movie is if it was 100% animated with the Blizzard Cinematic Characters by all means do like the Beowulf thing but don’t use Real people, I’m pretty sure a movie like that you’ll have a better turn out for.

  17. i’ve never played that game. and i don’t know what the hell it’s about.
but it looks gay. i hate that Lord of the Rings bullshit.

  18. horrible idea to make a movie off WoW, just horrible.

  19. I can’t believe you typed “Sam Raimi (Spiderman)” and not “Sam Raimi (Evil Dead)”. I’ll have to assume that it wasn’t you who typed this, but one of your minions who doesn’t know any better.

  20. Nice!. I have faith in Raimi. At least it’s not Uwe Boll. :[

I for one hand will stand outside the theatre room for WoW and laugh at every person that goes in, then lock the doors so all the nerds can’t go to the washroom.

They deserve it for watching a movie like that.

  22. Ugh…gross.
Why would they even think that this would make a great movie?
I don’t even think Halo would make a great movie.
All out of ideas I guess.
    Too bad.

“World of Warcraft is a feeling! Who needs a Social life?” HAHAHAHA Now I have heard it all. I wonder what route they are going to take with it. I am not a WoW player but if I had all my time free and didn’t enjoy getting laid on a constant basis I would probably play it.

  24. yesssss wow movie!!!!

  25. i could give a frak about WoW, but Sam Raimi is an interesting choice. Still, i would rather he do Evil Dead 4.

  26. This may be good. To early to tell. WoW has a lot of stories interwoven into the game that would translate well into a movie. Either way, me and the other million drones that play the game will go out and watch it regardless. It’s a definite money maker.

  27. 2 words: FUCK w0w, yah morgan webb is gonna bitch my ass off, but shes hot so id gladly take it, id just stare at her massive tits as shes scolding me for dissing this piece of shit game, WORST OFF IT HAS A MOVIE?

why the fuck would u make a movie of a RETARDED GAME WITH NO ENDING!!!!

at least FINAL FANTASY ADVENT CHILDREN HAS an ending!!!!!!!!
i bet this w0w movie is gonna suck WORSE THEN LORD OF THE RINGS 3 hours per movie of just watching and repeatitive circles….

    god kill me now?

  28. I don’t see how this is even possible to make into a movie. Doesn’t WoW have multiple storylines and what not?? This is going to be absolute rubbish like the Dungeons and Dragons movie, and let’s not forget Final Fantasy Spirits Within (Although admittedly, I kind of liked that) did not go over well with the real fans of the series. I personally only liked FF7, but really, who didn’t. This is just going to be another example of how poorly Hollywood view the fans.

  29. a WoW movie? no thank you.

  30. I just found out about this today.
I’m not sure if the world is ready for a WoW movie.

  31. Oh this is gonna be good.
Damn it! Sarcasm why don’t you work on the internet. I like Sam Raimi but when are they gonna learn to stop making movies based on video games. Especially ones that have a minimal story line.

  32. could def be good…

  33. californianerd | July 22, 2009 at 10:04 am

Ahh hmmm k well the game is addicting but a movie… idk

  34. superjohnjohn | July 22, 2009 at 9:58 am

this will either be an epic box office win or a complete failure. there will be no middle ground.

  35. for christ’s sakes! cmon cant hollywood just make a good fucking movie without basing the premise on a book or fucking video game?! fuck!

  36. Hopefully it will be a lot less Spiderman and more Army of Darkness. And it would totally win if Shatner, Mini Me and Ozzy were all cast in the movie.

  37. Emo dances from all the races! yay!

  38. WTS LvL 80 Shaman. I want to remove all my assets in this franchise before this comes out. This movie is gonna be worse the dieing on a boss with 5% health left. EPIC FAIL!

  39. eh… a lot of my friends waste time playing the game… and im pretty sure it will be a waste of time watching the movie… but if Olivia is in it well…

  40. Serious Wow over here.

  41. sam is a super overrated director so i am gonna go ahead and expect this to suck. plus its fuckin world of warcraft. theres no way a great movie is coming out of that. none of the spiderman movies were as good as they should have been really. especially 3.

  42. S0nntagskind | July 22, 2009 at 9:01 am

Spiderman wasn’t that bad and the Warcraft story is pretty deep…could become a good movie. How about Olivia as Nightelf #34? ^^ Would be sweet to see you in that movie, though.

  43. Paul Berning | July 22, 2009 at 8:57 am

I love WoW. I hope they don’t screw up the movie too much…

  44. It can’t be worse than the Dungens and Dragons movie, right?

  45. I get why people play the game, but I don’t like that mindless crap. Actually let’s just say I have friends that are addicts.

  46. StevenBrianRock | July 22, 2009 at 8:36 am

I think my soul just died a little. Let me double check….no….it died a lot.

  47. hmm interesting…
