Megan Fox vs Michael Bay
Megan Fox told Entertainment Weekly that Michael Bay spent too much time on special effects and not enough on the acting saying, “I mean, I can’t s— on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s a–. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting.”
Michael Bay responded to the Wall Street Journal by saying, “Well that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.”
He went on to say that he “100 percent disagrees” with her, and points out all the big stars he helped make careers for in big special effects movies- Nicholas Cage, Ben Affleck, Will Smith…
Bay made sure to point at, “Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers,” he says. “I like to think that I’ve had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.”
Look- I didn’t like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen- at all. But, even I know to shut my mouth and not say bad things about people and films that clearly put you on the map. So, this round: point goes to Michael Bay!
she was probably right. and shouldn’t have said that. but i say lots of shit lots of folks probably think i shouldn’t say. and i say it ’cause i’m right. and i’m tied to a chair, so sometimes what i have is words. so i say it anyway. and he did help careers as he said. and she was still right. but we agree, cause she’s not me, so probably shouldn’t have said it. she’s not gonna say it and not give a fuck or have nothing to lose.
Here’s my 2 cents. Of course it isn’t a movie based on acting. Its ‘Transformers’! Its about big giant transforming machines that blow up and fight and special effects are what make that possible. So, yeah, duh. I agree with Michael Bay too about creating a spot for her in Hollywood. Although, making Nicolas Cage’s career isn’t something to brag about. In every movie I’ve seen him in except one, his acting was mediocre. He’s not a great actor and I don’t know why people keep casting him. Anytime I see him in a movie I only see ‘Nicolas Cage’ and not the character he’s supposed to be portraying/playing. =/
That’s deffinately very cocky of him. Megan’s right, there is more special effects than actual acting, and to say she needs to grow up and that he “made” her? “Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers” I’m sorry, but I say that’s extremely douchey of him. And yes, the movie was terrible either way.
I think Megan was perfectly fine with her comments and Michael is the one going over board. He did not make any of those actors he claims to have made.
Megan comes off as realistic about the role she had in Transformers - she is a generic female actress that basically only has to run and scream alot. She may not handle the PR about it with enough Politically Correct Ass Kissing (PCAK) but do we really want more hollywood stars that are kiss asses ?
Even our favorite Olivia isn’t much of an ass kisser.
I thought the movie was pretty good. But, she needs to shut that hole on her face because she knows that without this movie she would still be giving handjobs in the back of the bus for animal crackers ^_^
Hey Olivia, there are plenty of things I could say but lets just start with the fact that Megan was told to put on a few pounds because of all the action in the movie. I personally liked the movie somewhat but it was to crumble up in terms of the action sequences, you couldn’t tell who was fighting who in most the the scenes. I personally didn’t like the two idiot robots mr. explosion put in cause they were just like extras. I didn’t know they needed robot extras I would have sent my toaster or microwave…oh wait they had them too… Michael Bay has gotten too carried away thinking everyone is just going to praise him on how much bigger he can make his explosions. Anyway one more quick thing…I would have loved to see you in your Chun-Li get up in the Street Fighter movie in stead of Kristen, I like her but I think she didn’t help the movie which was HORRIBLE!!!

Of course people knew who Megan Fox was before this movie. She’s the ONLY reason I watched this lame-ass drivel and if she weren’t in the sequel there wouldn’t even be a movie as far as I’m concerned.
When I left the first movie my only thought about it was that it needed far more Megan Fox and far less of those endless CGI battles and that weird kid that added nothing to the last Indiana Jones movie. Character development might have been a good dimension to add to the movie.
As it was, the humans had about as much personality as the robots, which wasn’t much.

Screw Michael Bay and the explosion he rode in on. Nobody watches a Bay flick for the acting anyways, they watch them for the big action scenes, big explosions and cheesey one-liners like “Losers always complain about thier best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen.” He says he “made” Nicholas Cage? Umm, Nick Cage was a pretty damn good actor before he did “The Rock”. Anyone who has seen “Wild at Heart” would know that. Michael Bay creates great action flicks, but they are mindless action flicks that have acting that isn’t even up to par of the old “Golan-Globus” flicks that Arnold and Stallone used to be in all through the 80’s. “American Ninja” has better acting in it than 90% of all the Bay flicks put together, so Michael Bay can go count his millions, shut the fuck up, and get ready to make yet another cheese-fest on wheels with huge explosions, no real plot, no real acting, and a shitload of special effects.
Oh, and if Megan Fox wants to be in a movie where she has to act more… she should try making us believe that she isn’t ready to start gobbling on a cock every time she pouts her lips and shows off her tits in every scene. Here’s an idea Megan…. try doing a period piece, and see if you can actually pull off the language from the 1800’s even and maybe we’ll pretend you can act, and aren’t just a well put together set of tits, lips, and ass all oiled up for her big, “run over there and say something to the main character, scream, and then run away” scene.

Despite my lack of giving a crap, I agree more with Megan Fox than Bay. Did you all not see this movie? Good God, I don’t know how anyone can side with Bay so much after he butchered our childhood. This movie isn’t about the acting. TF was all about the special effects, and the human actors were an afterthought. You could have taken out all of the human actors because of their uselessness and it would have made more sense. Megan Fox isn’t a good actress, but compared to the other people in this movie she was gold. You can’t have a movie that was almost as long as The Dark Knight and not focus on the acting. I think i’m with Megan here. Nicholas Cage, Ben Affleck, and Will Smith are famous because they are excellent actors and would have done just as well without Bay…. except for Nicholas Cage.

I agree with Michael Bay, Megan Fox has some growing up to do. She’s the same girl who said that Wonder Woman is lame. I’m sure there are alot of girls out there who disagree and see Wonder Woman as a symbol of female empowerment. And she can kick butt with the best of them. She’s part of the DC trinity, the other two being of course Superman and Batman. I haven’t seen Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen yet. But I might be seeing it soon. I think it’ll be really good.
As attractive as Megan Fox is, she really shouldn’t be opening her mouth so wide like that. Many actors have shot their careers short because of their mouths. Does anyone remember Sean Young? She had a rather fast paced career, till she started shooting her mouth off about just about everyone around her. And then people started not wanting to work with her or put her in their movies. Hopefully Megan Fox doesn’t keep doing this, or else she just might shoot her own career dead.
Transformer was a good movie, not a great movie, but a good movie. Besides Transformers was always more about the robots and a little about the humans.

i think its so weird that a bunch of “nerds” from g4 thinks transformers 2 sucks. its just a fun summer movie about giant robots fighting, get off you’re fucking high horse.
If Bay had titled it “giant robots fighting” and “giant robots fighting 2: more Megan Fox ass” then we wouldn’t be so upset. The moment he called it Transformers he tied it to an entire universe with specific details. Straying from those even a little (or in this case a lot) will get the hard core fans angry (remember Watchmen?).
On top of that, the movie was riddled with plot holes too big to ignore in the spirit of “Fun summer movie” Sure, my 11 year old nephew liked it, but no one I’ve met who either liked Transformers back in the day or like movies as story telling mediums have given it higher than a 1 out of 5 rating (or equivalent).
Instead of ragging on Megan Fox maybe people should actually think about what she is saying. Cause she is telling the truth the only acting that I can see what was amazing in the Transformers film was the Transformers voice actors. Megan Fox is not lying about the movies being made more for visuals than Acting. Michael Bay is extremely cocky as well so dont just jump down her throat because he thinks action, explosions, and all that are more important that good acting. I think she just gave her real and honest opinion about the movies she also acknowledged that the films opened doors for her and gave her opportunities so its not like she is just forgetting that.
