Iron man 2 in 3d!

Ain’t It Cool News is saying that right now a one minute, 3D demo of Iron Man 2 is being shuttled around through the execs at Marvel, Paramount, and Disney to see if it is worth the money.
I think 3D is cool and all, but I honestly don’t think it’s worth it. Seriously- every time we here a movie is in 3D we all get excited, put on those damn glasses and then wait only to be disappointed that there are only 3 small scenes in 3D! Superman and UP were like that. So the few 3D scenes I saw were cool, whatever.. But then the rest of the goddamn movie I have a headache from wearing those damn glasses.
So, if they’re going to make Iron Man 2 in 3D, they better make it more than just a couple scenes. They should do ALL action scenes in 3D- that would be worth it.

3D dazzler? hell yeah. damn right! i’d put on the cardboard for that shit!
I am confused, why is 3D all of a sudden making a comeback? You still put on the glasses like the 80s. But I agree Olivia, more scenes in 3d will make the movie worth seeing with the sweet glasses.
awesome
If it wasn’t filmed in 3d then don’t bother (every film should be filmed in 3d just in case since it’s all digital now so it’s way cheaper to just film it in 3d from the get go. CG effects take considerably more effort in render time/hand processing though).
Mach5: Colour in 3d is perfect. You’re thinking of the ancient red/blue crap from 20 years ago!
Monsters Vs. Aliens was excellent in 3D. Every other scene had a shot that looked excellent in 3D. But when only 3 or 18 minutes of a 90 minute movie is optimized for 3D then the glasses etc. aren’t worth it or the extra $$$ they charge.
I’m just excited to see Olivia even if it was only in one dimension.
3D is played out. I want to see it in 4D.
3D or not, I don’t really have an opinion either way.
The world is 3D all the time and it still isn’t as exciting as one minute of 3D on a movie screen. With that being said I respectfully and sarcastically disagree with you Olivia :).
Furthermore, I’d like to shamefully promote my blog that I have started for a media class I’m taking. I put your blog as one of my top 3 blogs (the assignment was to write about 3 blogs I read) and wrote my review of it. Check it out!
Cheers!

olivia munn in 3-D?!?! hell yes!
3-D is so 80’s.
and the 80’s was so impractical.
3-D is overrated…..It’s all about Smell-O-Vision.
Hitler will not be pleased, he has already complained that Disney taking over Marvel will cause them to overuse the 3D effects and that it gives him a headache, now this news for Iron Man 2, Uh-Oh! Spaghetti O!
3D isn’t really a big draw for me.A good movie is a good movie…..no matter what dimension it’s in!
i hope they don’t do 3d it will just ruin the movie fuck you disney.
I hope they don’t ruin this movie by doing 3-D. I knew fucking disney would start fucking shit up when they bought out Marvel.
Don’t think making it 3D would significantly add to the overall film. I say the money should instead be donated to the “Save The Munn Fund”…. Momma needs a new set of wheels!!!
yeah i’ll definitely see it if its more than just a few scenes! i hate it when they do that. not worth the money.
Plus the annoyance of the “Put your 3D helmet on now Symbol” and everyone looking like theyre going into battle.
When it’s a lot cheaper to do this 3D thing, and a good portion (or better yet, all) of the movie is in 3D, then it’ll be worth it. Until then, it’s gimmicky to me.
Munn in 3D would be awesome, though!!
They should make it so you don’t have to wear those stupid glasses in order to get the whole 3D experience..
I detest wearing those things!
Would I pay to see Olivia in 3D? Yes, that would be incredible.
Would I pay to see other movie in 3D? Probably not!
I further agree with Olivia. Not worth the cost.

haven’t see a 3-d movie in……forever!! Wonder if the tech has advanced any? O.o
2 words:::
FUCK YES !!!!!!!
OLIVIA MUNN IN 3D equals mega huge boner …truestory
agreed Olivia agreed
I totally agree with you. The 18 minutes of the latest Harry Potter were neat and all but really, having to then take off the glasses and hang on to them for the rest of the movie was a pain in the ass. Unless the majority of the movie is 3-D, then I don’t even want to see it. I’d rather they put more effort into making the movie better as far as other special effects or make up and costumes.
I know what Olivia means about 3D movies like Up or Transformers 2. Most flicks that are designed to be 3D from the beginning are going to be shot differently than just slapping the tech on a regular movie already filmed or being filmed. Sure there are a coule of scenes in that movie that will POP! but overall it is just an effect, a fun effect, but an effect none the less. Like I have scene pretty much al the 3D animated flicks, but none of them were as impressive in 3D as Coraline. Up was a better movie yes, but COraline blew my mind at what was possible with 3D.
3-D throws off the color in a movie. With glasses a movie either looks greyish or blue/red. It’s never in true color. She’s right, why do you need to wear glasses to watch a film? The real tech will be when you won’t need the glasses to watch a film in 3-D, that I think is around the corner.
Also, I don’t know what movie you were watching, but UP was 100% 3-D.
You don’t need to wear the glasses for the non-3D scenes. Use your brain!
i wonder if crossed eyed ppl can see in 3-d
g = gonner
ha ha ha!
right through your soul g!
Olivia is absolutely right……Imax provides better picture even without 3D….So if you want to spend a little more $$$ Imax gives you more bang for your buck any day without 3D…
Make sure you see it in a REAL IMAX theatre. Like when I saw Shitfest (aka Transformers 2) it was billed as being an IMAX theatre but wasn’t even close.
….just realized I’ve never seen a 3D movie.
Why not? everybody’s doing it, I say what’s another 40 million or so for a couple scenes in 3D.
I don’t know Munn in 3D sounds hella awesome.
*Cringe* Disney…
3D Munn!
How badass would it be to see all Olivia scenes in Ironman 2 in 3D ? That would one cool OMFG event!
A good film requires no gimmicks. i have spoken.
If the film is good, it does not need any gimmicks, right ?
I’m sure some of the action scenes would be nice, but yeah, one big headache.
and yes, it would be nice to see ms. munn in 3-d.
agreed
As long as the scenes with Olivia are 3D, I’ll pay and get a headache!!
I would love to Iron Man 2 in 3D. I think that would be really cool. I saw UP in 3D and thought it was fantastic. I really hope they decide to convert both Iron Man 1 and 2 into this 3D format. I would go out of my way to see these films.
Olivia Munn in 3D? Yes please.
Nice.. OIivia 3-d.. Sounds beast.
iron man in 3D sounds cool if they do it right ,love you munn
Superman 3D blew because it was converted from 2D footage, not filmed in 3D. Movies that are intended to be 3D from the start have a different compositional mindset behind them (or at least they should, if the director has stereoscopic experience). Luckily live action 3D technology is becoming more available. Stereoscopic 3D is like color, or sound– when used correctly, it’s another element which makes the movie more immersive and engaging.
