Worst Movie of the Year (so Far) - 74 posts

So far a lot of the big summer films have just not lived up to my expectations. Wolverine was kinda boring and lacked action to me, while Transformers 2 had action but was 45 min too long. Even Bruno wasn't as funny to me as Borat. Ironically the films that I thought wouldn't be great are the best so far, like The Hangover and Star Trek.

Well i guess it all depends. I had high expectations for Public Enemies and it was kind of lackluster.. so im pretty down on that. wolverine too. could have been so much better

Best: well i think star trek suprised me the most. never seen the show or past films and it was pretty good. Hangover... also good.

    @ Christina

yea, i agree a lot of lackluster movies this year. transformers was alright but i was ready for it to end too.

im still not sure what the hell bruno was about. I guess he was going for pure shock value, but just went kinda too far in my book. or atleast wasnt funny enough. if u were expecting a similar movie to borat, ur in for a suprise. borat is much better.

Dragonball Evolution might be the worst movie of the Century. I haven't paid to go see it, but I still want my money back!

@Loakum The should have changed the title from Dragonball Z: Evolution to Dragonball ZZZzzzzz, because the movie was so stupid and boring. It made me fall asleep.

that new M Night Shyamalan movie with the one kid fighting off a gigantic armada looks horrible. I thought it was a spoof movie until the end of the trailer.

Energizer Munny she keeps going... and going... and going...

You mean The Last Airbender? Yeah. It looks like it sucks. Especially since the Nickelodeon cartoon it's based on is awesome! Seriously, has there really ever been a live action movie based on a cartoon that is BETTER than the source material?

"No, it's not evil spirits. It's just rain. Rrraaiiinnn. Fine! Try and kill it!...Children!"

Worst movie I have seen this summer would have to be Transformers 2. The worst movie I haven't seen would probably be Dragon Ball: Evolution, however, I kinda want to see it. Mostly just to laugh at how horrible it is, and I don't know maybe a little part of me just wants to ruin my childhood. xD xP

@ JrOaHmNoS, LOL, I loved "The Knowing" It just showed that angels had enough of our crap, and the day of their vengence was at hand..(too bad the forest animals had to suffer too)

@MattJSour, U actually watch it? LOL, my brother gave me a bootleg copy of it, and I still hadn't bother to watch it.

@ Kris561, Night Shyamalan movie has the worst endings EVER! I will forever regret sitting through the entire film of "The Village"! The ending made me feel like I just got Punked out of $20.

I'm shocked someone said Star Trek. That was the best movie of the summer so far. I took a few friends who had never seen any Trek related material prior, and they all loved the movie.

Wolverine has been the worst movie I have seen so far this year. Such huge expectations, and it just sucked on so many levels.

I'm sure there were plenty of awful movies this year I didn't see. Bride Wars, My Bloody Valentine 3-D, Inkheart, He's Just Not That Into You, Madea Goes To Jail...

He's Just not that into you, is hella funny.

i still dont see what makes Hangover funny.
it was easy to see that Zach did something to those drinks when he brought it out. plus it didn't help that the commercials already showed everything.

Transformers 2 is hands down the worst film of the yr, so far. It frightens me to think that there might be any even worse film coming out!

transformers was one of those movies where you go "oh it was a cool movie"..then think back on it..but i had a "really?" face when i saw robot heaven?..not to mention megan fox hopping around in slow motion..for a long time..i thought they should have just kept optimus dead, have b.bee take command.

Wolverine...lol the game was better than the movie; you can rent the game and be "oh ok im good"

i'll go with db evolution even though i haven't seen it.

Transformers 2 got sort of the same reaction out of me as Spider-man 3. When I first left the theater, I enjoyed the movie. However, over the next few days, it occurred to me little by little how bad they both were. TF2 wasn't as bad a reaction as Spider-man 3 was, obviously. I remember going into a nerd rage about three days after seeing it in the theater! >: (
