Everyone knows... Comic Con is HUGE! Comic Con is epic. It's magnificient. And, at times, it's a lil' stinky. But no one can deny that it offers so much to so many. No a comic book fan? Big deal, there's movie stuff. Couldn't care about the flicks? No worries, there's videogames. And if chicks are more your interest... oh yeah, the CC has got your back.

So, I wanted to create this platform for those of you who went to this year's con, but also for those who've gone to previous con's. For those who haven't gone to one yet, here's your chance to hear from fellow OMFGr's about what to expect and hopefully convince you to come next year! (Please do... my San Diego economy needs it!!)

Here's your chance! Talk, brag, whine, cheer/jeer about anything and everything related to the Con. Here's a few topics to chew on:

    - Tell us your experience: what is all you thought it'd be? More? Less?
    - Was this your first? last?
    - Did you meet anyone famous? infamous? non-famous?
    - What did you get? freebies? something ultra-rare? sumthin stoopid?
    - What did you love about it? comics? stars? da babes?
    - What did you hate about? crowds? lines? that 15 yr old nerd-girl who wouldn't shut up about Roxas from KH?
    - Anything that surprised you?
    - Did you go to the OMFG meeting?

Here's a quickie: Tyrese is standing at the Mayhem booth, so I'm walking by, about 10 feet away, noticed him and try to take a pic. He spots me, raises his hand and blocks his face! I flash him that "wha?" look...he smiles and says to me, "Nah man, you gotta pay...can't give it away for free. Come here, pay $10; I'll let ya take a pic and give ya and autograph too." My reply:

    - also told him, "it takes $20 to take a pic w/me, bro!"

Met up with Dave-O later that day, same thing happened to him.

    FU Tyrese.

@Furyus - Comic con isn't a traveling show, but there are other comic cons. The SD Comic Con is, however, just happens to be the biggest out there.

@D6 - actually, the line wasn't long at all. The booth had to have barkers, guys that had to shout out that people should stop in!! When I walked by, there were probably 5 people in line waiting for his autograph. Giant Pikachu had a bigger line than him.

Another quickie: during the WB movie event, Megan Fox was on the Jonah Hex panel. When they fielded questions from the audience, some guy asked if she would do a sex tape with him. Surprisingly, he got to stay in the room, but he did get a good tongue-lashing from security. And no, no "hammer thumb" questions.

This is my 17 Comic Con. Yay, I am old. I remember when they only used half the hall and could walk around and check out everything in one day. Nowadays you pick one early event and one late event, and that is all you can do.

I enjoyed catching up with some of my favorite artists like Tara McPherson and James Jean.

The highlight of course ws the OMFG meet and greet and the running of the Munns. Olivia was super sweet and super cool and totally justified her place in my mind as simply the greatest.

Best purchase, A toss up between a wonderful black and white french comic called Bouncer that I grabbed and a custom vinyl figure by Tara McPherson.

Worst purchase- a really over priced sketch from Bill Sinkievitch. I love him and I love the sketch, but it wasn't worth what I paid.

Only have two regrets. No official OMFG gathering after meetup with all the folks on the board afterwards just to shoot the shit. and not being able to ask Blair Butler what I should buy on the floor.

Hugs and Kisses to All of Your Pink Parts.

This is from a first timer for comic con.

Highlight of the con was the OMFG meetup which I just gave a recap on another thread.

Worst part, the crowds. not being able to move around alot. Uninformed worker and workers with power trips. And exhaustion from walking around.

Most people were very nice to ask question or talk to.

Cool seeing celebrities walk by you escorted by security of course. Teri Hatcher walked right by me while I was waiting in a line for a panel.

Didnt grab a whole lot of free stuff cause was trying to do too many thing at once.
