Hey there fellow OMFG members, and Olivia
I have taken the liberty of letting everyone know about the Calgary Stampede.

Here is some background information on this event.
This event occurs in the month of July, from the 3rd to the 12th.
    The Website ( http://calgarystampede.com/ )

Here is the wiki description (it is factual, and as a Calgarian I would know)

"The Calgary Stampede, which bills itself as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, is a large festival, exhibition, and rodeo held in Calgary, Alberta for 10 days every summer from early to mid-July, attracting more than 1.2 million visitors. It is one of Canada's largest annual events, and the world's largest outdoor rodeo. It features an internationally recognized rodeo competition, a midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon races, First Nations exhibitions, and pancake breakfasts around the city, among other attractions. In 2006, record-breaking attendance at the 10-day rodeo and exhibition totalled 1,262,518. The Calgary Stampede Rodeo Committee was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2008. The Stampede Parade which occurs on opening day, is one of the festival's oldest and largest traditions. It is led by the Calgary Stampede Showband and follows a 4.5 km route in downtown Calgary. Attendance at the parade is usually about 350,000. During Stampede Week, the city is flooded with tourists who join locals in the spirited atmosphere by dressing in western attire. A large number of businesses decorate their stores and offices in western style, usually starting in June and remaining to after the Stampede ends."

Blergh, Calgary! Come to Winnipeg instead, we don't wear cowboy hats! Although I hear the Stampede has kick-ass shaved beef sandwiches...

Do you want to know why a working cowboys wear baseball caps rather than cowboy hats?

They don't want to mistaken for truckers.

Magoo, I think you have it the other way around.
It is a known fact that every citizen of Calgary has at least one cowboy hat that they only wear once a year for 10 days. And that time is the STAMPEDE

    YEEHAW?

@ riverside a TRUE Calgarian LEAVES Calgary during the Stampede to avoid all the tourists, bad traffic and road construction.

@DWB, lol the traffic does suck, but most of the people at my High School agree that the Calgary Stampede is fun.

    I got an idea though.
Maybe Olivia can come to the Calgary Stampede for a AOTS segment for G4 Tech TV. She would be able to video tape all the attractions there, and she would have lots of fun, without missing work.
What about it Olivia, ask your producer and see if he is up for it. Calgary isn't a long distance away from L.A. so it won't be too expensive.

    Olivia, answer when you can.
I am hopeful for an answer...
It doesn't help that I didn't put this thread in the Ask Olivia topic, oopsie.
