Got this from Dave-O, and I have to say I was fairly impressed. It is not as good as the first film, but I never expected it to be. Instead of a star-studded cast, this only has a handful of recognizable actors, including the star whom I wouldn't have even known except he's on "24" this season. I'd say that, plus the direct-to-dvd route it took, probably means it was made for a small fraction of the first film, so I'm sort of factoring that into my rating as well.
The effects, for the most part, are quite good, and I really compliment the camera work which almost makes you forget how lame the dialogue is at times. The weakest part to me was the story which was almost completely devoid of twists. The only twist was that there wasn't one. I didn't know exactly how it was all going to work out, but safe to say the ending is pretty much what you'll think it will be. Still, getting there is pretty fun, and holy crap there is a scene in there that is so great you'll want to applaud it.
@Dave-O Thanks for the film. Here's where I risk being unfollowed, but I actually liked the ending on the deleted scenes. Not saying I liked it better, but I saw that and thought, "huh, that woulda worked too." And yeah, Autumn Reeser!
(Re-followed?) Buy some stock in that girl. Wish she had more screen time, in fact, I wish they'd given more screen time to all of the assassin's, but I could definitely see her getting more offers from this role.
OK, OMFG, who's next? It was going to be sent to Master Gio next, but he doesn't have a Blu-Ray player yet, and this is on Blu-Ray. Tyler, REJ... either of you interested? Oh, BIG warning to REJ - there are clowns in this film!
Anyway, just say on here or DM me whoever wants it next. It's Dave-O's film, but think we're hoping to pass it all around and leave a little gift from the OMFG to the next person that gets it.
