MemberI too love the show, and I am a big fan of Erica Durance as well. One small criticism though, does Clark always have to wear blue and red? He's superman, I get it.

MemberI can't believe there are only 2 episodes left. But I'm so excited that he will become Superman!!! I hope it'll be epic.

MemberLove Smallville, I have not missed an episode so far...I'm just waiting for the part for Clark and Lois to be "an Item" im so tired of seeing them like "playing around and not making a move"... Who ever plays that guy Doomsday I rember him on AOTS one day and he said he never smiled. If you see the intro (DVR Freeze Frame when you see his name, sorry I forgt his name...) you can see him smiling...He was on AOTS and said he never smiles...yea that's bull. I wish I played Doomsday! That be kick ass! I love Villians! I miss Lex though...

MemberI have loved Smallville since the beginning but this current season has really been lackluster for me. I miss having Lex Luthor on the show and I am not a big fan of the Tess Mercer character. The Doomsday storyline is the only thing that has kept me watching the show. That and Erica Durance.

ModeratorI use to be a big Smallvile fan. Season 1 & 2 were great but after that the show seemed to get a little repetitive with everyone getting kidnapped each week Clark lossing his powers or some big event happening only to have Clark reverse time to change it back. I'm still watching the show but this season has been just more of the same for me.

I am ComicBook fanboy and when these Hollywood movies,shows, what have you just take things out of the comic book lore and just destroy it, I get really pissed. I do not understand why they had to bring the Doomsday storyline into the Smallville lore. Chole has become a joke now, Tess is a poor substitute for Lex. JLA is so bad to see, although Bart is cool. The Legion was good, and so is Martian Manhunter ( tho' I don't understand why they needed to put him in there also?)I watch the show cause I have been watching since day one and I want to hope it will get better next season...

I really don't miss Lex very much, I like the new storyline and things are turning into suberbity. The most recent seasons have been more interesting to me frankly (exception season 1) because they have full plots in a way, moreso than the repetitive first few.
@ Matt, I really like the Tess Mercer character and the producers' homage to Mercy Graves
@ Dik, I give exception to Smallville because they don't need to follow the Superman story so directly, as this is Clark Kent before Superman. I like how they sprinkle things from the comics into the storyline.
The producers decided to bring Doomsday in to the story because Michael Rosenbaum wanted to leave the show, thus leaving no villain for Clark. They thought Doomsday would bring a nice end to the Smallville series, and they were intrigued by that storyline (the fact that he is the only one who has ever killed Superman).
They also were planning to stop at season 8 because Tom Welling's contract has expired, but now there are rumors that they are bringing it back for another season. I really believe they are ending it (I have accepted this) this season because how the story is going so far for Clark, Lois, and Lois&Clark.@ drail, I really wonder what they are going to do to Chloe (how she's gonna die and all...

MemberSmallville is one of the best shows on TV! I wish Clark would hurry up and become Superman already, but I think when he does, he wont be the same Superman we all know and love, but an alternate version of Superman.

MemberIt's not the last season, they say Clark might "die", but if he does, that pretty much means he'll be back for next season. (Cliffhanger!!) AND they've said a villian will "debut", and will be trouble for eveybody on the show next season!

MemberI dunno how many of you follow what is happening behind-the-scenes at Smallville, but it's going to a possible Season 10, with Season 9 already confirmed and many people around production saying Tom has signed for another 2 seasons after season 8. Just by reading some-to-most of the comments here it just sounded like you didn't know
