I was just smiling as soon as the song started
I tried not too but I couldn't help it. That was cool beyond words dude.
The mind is indeed amazing, Complex, yet amazing.
Thanks for sharing. Now where is the download option.......
That was quite interesting but I would probably be off key. I got no rhythm.
@FuRyUs Yes, and I'm never going to dance again the way I danced with you.
Most impressive =), if he could super jump the octaves he'd be unstoppable.
Reminds me of dirty dancing...
Back to the vid, if he can go Asian on those notes (all my asian friends can rip like 12 intruments...at once) then we shall be the superior race.
@apollo yeah, it put a smile on my face too. i was very impressed.
I'm worried and not happy - fuck u mcferrin - now I know he scientifically did that song to fuck up anyone who had to suffer through its radio play. I think mcferrin may be a minion.
I'm not trying to be a wet blanket but I didn't find that impressive at all. Everyone is aware of basic musical scales and what a piano looks and sounds like. So when he hops in a direction higher or lower the audience reacts accordingly with the information they already have in their head. It's just basic fundamentals of music. That's why pop songs are catchy with all sorts of hooks written into them and you sing along with it. Your mind knows where it wants the music to go and when it does, you're like oh wow that's really catchy. I find good music to be more exploratory. I don't want to know what's coming next or try and anticipate it. That seems far too boring and easy. I want the music to be a journey starting off somewhere and ending up in some place I had no idea that it was going.
Here is a good example, for the most part when I first hear a song if I think it's catchy sounding and even enjoy it, it doesn't take long for me to become bored with it, maybe even annoyed with it. And in some cases I end up hating it. However there are a lot times l'll listen to a new album or song and at first it's like yeah it's cool but I don't have an instant wow that's catchy vibe after having heard it. Then after a few plays I start to notice things I didn't pay attention to before. In the end those kinds of albums and songs end up being my favorites. There is something to be said for simplicity of music but I really love music more for making you think about it, not the lyrics or message behind the song necessarily but the actual music behind it. It's like reading a book you are unfamiliar with it's notes (characters) and how they interact but by then the end of the song (story) it's changed how you initially perceived certain arrangements and you feel like you've been down a long road but completely fulfilled by the experience.
Anyway I'm ranting and I can go on and on and on about music so I'll shut the fuck up now.
@Minj- Is that why you're a Paramore fan?
@Dave-O
just know that the blood I spill today is on your hands.
This still doesn't explain my lifelong loathing of all things Bon Jovi.
@minj
hence the title, power of expectation. lol. but yeah, i get what your saying. i just thought it was funny how simple yet interesting it was.
