That did look pretty good. I haven't been really scared in a movie theatre in a long time so I might check it out. Highly unlikely it will be opening in my state any time soon however.

I took a date to see it on Saturday night. Movie was meh in my opinion, but wow is it a good date flick. She was holding onto me for dear life for a good portion of the movie. When I took her home to her apartment, she didn't want to be left alone. Not to worry, I made it home in time for the early games on Sunday. LOL

I already have enough crazy zombie chasing dreams . don't need to give them a boost. Although I can't wait to see how bad the new Nightmare on Elm Street will be

I love scary movies, but I could only get halfway through the trailer when I tried watching it (granted it was like 3 am and I was all alone in my dark house)

I hope to see it soon though...then probably never sleep again

Saw this a few days ago, there is a full review on my blog but I thought of it as more of a potboiler scary film. Each smaller incident building towards one larger payoff. I was impressed with it, especially being made on the budget it was, but I dodn't think it was really scary.

Yeah, the movie scared the shit out of me. Well, like JrOaHmNoS said...the last 15 mins. I kept thinking something was gonna grab me.

The end was great, but it was pretty slow going to get there. I would've changed the end just a bit, but I liked it.

And like Gerrad said, impressive considering budget and shooting schedule (shot in one week)

Any of you homos touch my stuff... I'll kill ya.

Seemed like the best choice for a scary Halloween movie (well, it or the Michael Jackson movie) so I finally got around to watching this. To add to what's already been said, they did an excellent job with the sound effects on this one. Almost every scare is generated just by sound, and I think they made the right choice to have no music at all in the film.

I'm of two minds about the alternate endings. The theatrical version definitely has the HOLY CRAP moment that you live for in these type of films, but the original DVD ending is probably much more fitting. I wonder if they had to re-think their original ending just in case they wanted a sequel (which has now been announced)?

I am obsolete. This must be what old people feel like. And Blockbuster.

I'm stil skeptical of all this Paranormal Activity hoopla. Mostly due to the fact that, horror movies of today are like Ice cream in the summertime....soft. I like my horror movies to actually be scary, like The Exorcist or Lucio Fulci's "Zombie", or Re-Animator. I'll catch Paranormal Activity when it comes out on Bluray , that way, if it's actually good (in which I doubt) I can watch it repeatedly.

@L0akum I won't get into spoiler territory, but Paranormal Activity actually borrows (kinda rips off really) heavily from a certain horror classic I've seen you mention on Twitter.

And I love Re-Animator, like top 10 film of all-time love, but scary?

@Briscojr..I was very young when I seen Re-Animator, so yes it scared me. Ironic, the movie that scared me the most wasn't even a horror movie...it was "The Elephant Man". I thought that he was gonna look like Babar the Elephant, when I was little.....oohh shit, I was wrong. In fact, to this day, I still can't look directly at his face.

    It was a fun movie.

I wouldn't see it again. But I suppose that's your lot on a $10,000 budget. Good for them for making so much money.
