   So Ive just put in an 80 hour work week (3 jobs ugh) and an about to fall over typing this... which has me asking: what is a normal/sane amount of time to spend working in a given week?

   I know the standard is 40hrs, but with todays financial times, do any of u also share in my hate filled life of vorking redicly long hours? I cant make it on the one job. been doing 80+ for a few weeks now.

   I feel jamaican, or german, or tired... sorry i know this post is lame but really appreciate what u guys think

   When I was in my 20's, it was pretty common to work 80 hours a week between 2 jobs (both restaurants). The most I ever did was 96 in a week (that was at a fishery in Alaska). Part of it was financial need, part was not being qualified for better paying job, and part of it was social; all my friends worked with me so there was no need to have time off.

   As I've gotten older, I've been able to get jobs that pay better, so 40 is much more typical now.

   Any of you homos touch my stuff... I'll kill ya.

   I typically work between 40-60 hours a week depending if I have a project i'm working on.

   But if you gotta hustle at 3 jobs to make it work, I tip my hat to you. That's no easy task.

   I work in the neighborhood of 50 to 55 hours a week. Of course I'm salary so sometimes that sucks, but on the plus side, some weeks I get to work less. though not as much as I'd like. I just look at it as an offset from the 7 weeks of paid vacation I get.

   it really depends on what time of year it is...right now, i work very little...in the fall, winter and spring i tend to work 40 to 60 hours a week...i am currently in search of a part time job...

   I get paid lots of money to sit around and do nothing for eight hours a day, and then I'm home and in my pajamas again by 5:30. I consider it payback for going through the hell that is the entertainment business.

    a usual week if im not in school for me has consisted mon-fri; 5am-around 6pm... roughly 65 hours a week...most of which is spent outside

    but now that im looking to move away, im beginning to look for jobs related to my art interests and graphics schooling

    40 hrs a week for miserable pay, but I make enough to get by. I work my ass off most days regardless if there's a lot of work or not, since I have to practically do other peoples work for them. I swear sometimes it seems I have to remind people how to breathe, let alone do their job.
