Are G4 Internships highly sought-after? I would absolutely love to get in on one... I've visited the ComCast Internship Opportunities site a lot in the past year or so and a large part of me wants to just up-and-leave South Carolina for LA and never come back! Maybe I can get lucky and score an audition tape for AOTS

Don't know if you've ever watched the G4interactive chats, but yes, it seems like a couple of times every day someone asks about internships. Their reply is that if you qualify, they'd love to have you apply because they do need interns. There is a rumor that they feed on intern blood, but it has yet to be confirmed.

Better question. Why would you want to be a G4 intern? They get eaten up just like any intern, except worse, since G4 is not a "big name" company. Read the description. No salary. 12 hours a week. Must be attending college, which means you must be working as it is, while serving G4 for free. Sounds great. Oh, did I mention you have to pay to relocate and housing? Yeah. I think I'll stick with computer class at my University.

@MwolfW You get college credit for doing it, that's why they only accept people who are enrolled in college. If you're looking to go into TV production and are going to intern somewhere, I can't think of a place that looks like it would be more fun to work than G4.

I dunno, I get the feeling they don't want fanboys or fangirls. I'm sure there's fun aspects but work is work, I'm sure the thrill would wear off.

Doing an internship is the best thing to do if you want a job there though.
At least that's what I think, because you'd at least have your foot in the door.

to get a job you must offer to clean up after Olivia. she has a tendancy to break stuff, throw food, eat people, run over children, and inspire man-drool. if you dont mind cleaning that up you may be able to start at minimum wage.
