You know I was wondering the same thing. I haven't gotten mine yet but did want to know what would be a good way to frame them.
daniel it's gonna be rough 'cause it's very thick for regular frames.
maybe an album frame? but then it would be to small..
I was wondering the same thing. If I find any ill let ya know.... I definitely dont want to take it to a place to get framed and hand over a playboy. Not because of embarrassment, but because I just dont want anyone to fuck it up! Grats on getting yours back DoubleSixx! No luck here yet
There's a collectibles shop not too far from where I live I think I'll go ask them sometime this week and see what they say. I'll get back to you if a solution hasn't been posted.
@Peaches it's weird 'cause most frames are 8 x 10, I believe the magazine is 8 x 10.75.
I got 8.5 x 11 and it bulges in the back, doesn't seem safe.
@unixgeek Let's us know, this is going to be a common question.
@AndyA have you framed yours ?
Under some of my beds are collectables, kinda, well some rare guitars I don't want down stairs.
DoubleSixx just do what my dad did a while back
Take a regular frame and cut it to the dimensions of the playboy.
To make sure it doesn't fall due to the thickness of the frame just either staple it to the back or secretly tape it.
Tell me how it works out.
wtf river.. thought you left?
Belle told me to either leave the forums or leave it all behind me.
It is in the past, what has happened... well happened.
@Riverside216 Good idea, I have no problem making a frame. The only problem then will be I'll have to get a piece of glass cut to size. I haven't done that in awhile and believe it or not it's usually more than a pre-made frame.
@River ok whatever ..
@D6 well if you figure something out, let me know
@Double do they have a Speedyglass in America?
If not just find a glass cutter store (they shouldn't be too hard to find) and they should be able to do it if you give them the dimensions.
I will help out as much as I can with this.
@DoubleSixx, Get a larger/thicker frame and make a shadowbox type of frame with the mag. This type of arrangement seems to always work with thicker objects of value and looks good too. Most shops that make this type of frame will have suggestions on how to secure the mag without damaging it inside the frame.

Nah I havn't framed mine D6, wasn't going to. Maybe freeze in carbonite?
@magoo Awesome idea =).
@AndyA What if it doesn't survive ? It's worth alot to me...
Lucite ?
@Doublesixx, Magoo's idea seems better than mine. Go ahead with his and if that doesn't work out use mine as a backup only when necessary.
D6, you have rivers permission to try Magoo's idea. So it's solid. But don't forget you have a backup plan.
@Andy yeah your carbonite idea is the backup. A solid backup too (no pun intended)
Ugh, it backfires every fucking time.
(Acting Clueless) What backfires?
Yeah I was going to say a shadowbox. Michael's sells them. Look for one of their sales where any item is 40% or 50% off in the store and you can grab one cheap. I might go all out for mine and get it custom-framed at Field of Dreams or something. Not sure yet.
@Kris561 Another awesome idea, I run there tommorrow, thanx.
Ugh, it backfires every fucking time.
Yeah it does..
Well sorry if I don't fall into your traps Another A.
Just try doing it to someone else.
