I have started on whey protein with milk at breakfast, and mixed with water in the evening, and have limited the amount of fast food I eat. In 2 months I have lost 10 pounds.

Whey protein is good, but getting some chicken and fish is good too. Don't forget your veggies. Man can't survive on weird powders from MetRX alone.
Honestly, cutting out junk food and anything sugary will do wonders for losing weight. More protein is good, but you really need to some exercise in there too.

you'll hit a plateau and you'll need to shock your body into burning fat again. include more exercise and gradually increase with intensity

I take creatine, but I'm bulking up, not slimming down. Plus, you have to do strength training for it to have any effect.

btw olivia is cutting carbs at the moment and I wouldn't doubt if shes cranky

I take whey protein to bulk up, with muscle. Creatine just puts water into your muscles. Your diet is also very important, you need to eat ALOT of carbs.

Creatine also increases your strength and endurance while you are taking it.

i have a protein shake in the morning with breakfast, and one after my workout, i take creatine about an hour before my workout as well.
Those are called "supplements" for a reason though, the protein is to supplement your diet with something that you may not get otherwise, and the creatine is to help you while you workout.
I always laugh when i hear people at the gym talking about what supplements theyre on and then they talk about going to burger king afterwards.

Anyone buy those drinks that have like 700 calories? I needa get me a bunch

Just remember to try and get the majority of protein from "real" foods. Also, don't get discouraged if your weight loss plateaus. The muscle you hopefully put on weighs more and will burn calories faster. Depending how much weight you want to lose you shouldn't drop more than 3 pounds a week. Subsequently your 10lb's a month is a good healthy loss.
Good luck. Follow a few simple rules and it's easy to lose pounds.

If you're really hurting for protein in your diet sir, throw in an extra serving of fish or chicken. It will do MUCH more good than a supplement like whey or creatine (sp?). Supplements are plain and simply silly. The commercials and ads prey on the "weak" and insecure.
Fish, Chicken, steamed veggies, and servings of rice/pasta are the main dietary staples that you need to follow when trying to get healthy.
I will not refute the benefits of creatine but back when I was heavy into the health scene and working out, there was a VERY minute difference between using creatine and not using it. The less supplements the better off you are. Eat healthy and exercise regularly and you will find that you have exponentially more energy than you had before.

Isopure makes a good whey protein, but it's not cheap.
Soy is okay, but I've heard its not too good for guys b/c of the whole estrogen thing.
Most important thing...they call 'em supplements for a reason.
They're to supplement a balanced diet. if you need protein, face a can of tuna. It's by far your cheapest option.
Posted 8 months ago # -
but make sure the tuna isn't laced with mercury and is (preferably) sustainably fished...
of course, those of us who don't eat fish are stuck with trying to find other means; which brings in the whey & soy
