As some of you may know, I would consider myself someone of high technical knowledge. I always watch this segment no matter what they are reviewing, but I think they sort of drop the ball on PC reviews. When they did that week of gaming PC reviews, they could have done a better job. When they spend more time talking about the case's looks than the performance of the PC, that is a problem for me. I want to know what the latencies on the RAM are, or what company makes the mobo or GPU. How about the wattage of the PSU or the performance in the games. For sounds system or cameras I think they do a fine job, but the PC reviews could be better. Oh, and before you people explode on me, this is constructive criticism.

As someone who has limited technical knowledge I don't like the segment cause it generally bores me. Also Attack This- don't care for it. I know I know I know. It's a Munn segment but usually it's just her reading the prompter. It has no personality to it.

Why are you reading this? I have nothing to say to you.

you shouldn't always assume that people are going to explode on you. this is actually a really good topic. it's one that i can't comment on b/c i can't watch gadget pr0n very often, but a good topic nonetheless. not all of us on here are evil, you know :]

I know what you mean. That segment seems kind of rushed. For a channel that touts itself as being tech savvy, Gadget Pr0n kind of sucks in that aspect since it is aimed as people with average knowledge. Attack this has some cool things on there, but most of the time the items are just random crap that will either never make it off paper or no one will ever use.

I watch pr0n all the time
I think it's quite interesting to see what new devices on the market I can't afford. If they make it more technical I think some viewers couldn't follow anymore. Attack This is also pretty cool but depends on how "jivey" Ms.Munn is.

Yeah, but they could at least talk about the actual computer more, not just how the case looks.

You can cover a lot in 3 minutes. Just don't stand there and talk like and idiot about random crap. Out of all the segments, I don't like Sneaker heads or The Loop since a lot of the topics are boring to me.

I never actually take what they say seriously, because I can't afford any of it anyway. But if I was in the market for something, I would just do the intensive research myself. As many of you said, it's just a short segment that can't cover anything. And there are only 10 possible ratings. Apparently, a 3/5 is still good to them too. I still like the segment because Hardwick comes on and him and Kevin are funny. As for Attack This, those things are always interesting to me, but yeah, I don't care for the fact that Olivia is just reading it. The only segment that I don't like is Sneaker Heads. Thank god they don't show it often.

I love Gadget Pron it's one of my favorite segments, I think it could be a stand alone 30 minute show that air's once a week. But if you like gadget pron you should check out Tekzilla it airs on Revision3.com and they answer viewer emails and have reviews on gadgets.

I like Gadget Pr0n. It sometimes has products that are useless but it is pretty ok. Kevin and Hartwick are the ones that usually get off track but when Olivia and Kevin are on it runs as its intended. The thing that bugs me is that ever since they went to the Seals Rating System, nothing seems to pass the 2/5, 2 and a half out of 5, and 3/5 score. There have been some that surpass those scores but I shouldn't be able to guess the score before they give it. Anyway great topic.

I also like the segment. I am merely saying that their PC reviews could be better. That and how about a GPU or mobo once in a while?

Nope. Although I must say, whoever actually does the reviewing is incredibly biased toward Apple. The best I saw was 4.5 for the 3GS I think.

Gadget Pr0n should be its own weekly show, then just catch the best of teh best on a once a week recap for us. That way i can choose what I want to watch and they can do bulk reviews of products per episodes. That way if I am in the market for a point and shoot or a mobile device, I can pick podcasts of teh show that reviews the tools I want.

As for terrible segments on AOTS, Whips Rides and Hoons is the worst. Please tell me about cars I can't afford in a segment with a title I don't understand.

it is a lot like a short version of TSS. I enjoy watching it but don't bite on what they're reviewing. I just buy what I buy.

gadget pron is mostly cool, as is attack this...i don't look at it so much from a vantage point of telling me about stuff i can't afford, but more like a way a quickly being kept up to date with things that are happening...in both cases they tell you for more info to check out the segment on the website...

the loop i shit or miss, depends what they are talking about...sometimes i just don't give a shit...sometimes it's really good...

maybe they could take the sneaker thing and the car thing and put 'em together into a random type thing where they talk about cool things that aren't gadget pron or attack this...

I think they should do a show, similiar to the Women of the Web special, just for Gadget Pr0n. Especially with the new LGA 1156 Core i7's and the Core i5/P55 coming out, for anyone who knows/cares.

I like the Gadget Pron segments. But AOTS has to either dedicate more time for the segment daily, or just put the segment as its on half hour show.

Regarding AOTS segments that could use the Ax, I nominate the "WTF" segments. Even though, they air once a week, they are time consuming, boring, and just plain disgusting.

Usually the hosts reactions are so funny to "WTF" that I'd hate to see that segment go.

And I don't see how they could possibly give Gadget Pr0n it's own show. I mean, G4's schedule is so jam packed already. What, would they only show 11 episodes of Cops a day? If only there was like a TechTV channel or something, that'd be cool.

I am obsolete. This must be what old people feel like. And Blockbuster.
