Member@Gerrad It wasn't my bump, but I had been thinking about it. So what is the time table, and how many signatures do we seriously need?
To anyone that doesn't want to bother reading the previous pages, this is just something we're hoping to organize as an "official" event during Comic-Con. If we're able to convince them that enough of the OMFG would be there, they might give us a room during the Con so we could all meet up at a specific time.
Since Minja's already got us registered as a gang with the LAPD, being recognized by the SDCC seems like the next logical step.

MemberOkay so here is what I know about trying to organize an official meetup.I can submit my request for a meeting space after the new year. Anything that can increase our status would totally help to increase our chances, as many of the staff seem to doubt the drawing power of Olivia. They kind of look at this as a glamour booth (sort of like those playboy models who sign stuff)
They do have fan club events, but its mostly for stuff like Star Wars or BSG, however due to G4's big presence at con last year and the flash mob riot on the floor, they were willing to listen to a pitch from us. The recomendation for a petition is to show what kind of drawing power we can bring to the table. Right now 26 signatures probably won't cut it though. That's why we need the big gun on it I think....
Basically we are making two pitches- one for an event during the con, one to use a meeting room after con ends at 6. The post con one would not be officially part of the con, but it would offer us a meeting place to get together.

@JessE This would totally just be something for us. Munn's certainly invited, but the first step is making this happen. And you're forgetting there are a few fine fillies in the OMFG. AND WHAT IS WRONG WITH SAUSAGE ANYWAY?!?! Damn big bacon propaganda.

MemberI am going in anticipation that Legion will show up. He didn't show up last year so I'm hoping that he shows up this year. The only sign of Legion was this crappy movie poster that looked nothing like the Legion that talked shit on here.
