I opted out of buying the first one, and will opt out of buying this one. I'm saving my money for Dragon Age, I still have Uncharted 2 to play, and then there's a few of next year's games that I want. Yay!

    Ohh, good for you.
    And how was it?

I will probably get it on gamefly in a while. I enjoyed the first one, but it had it's faults. Tell me what you think when you get further into it Paulee.

Waited awhile to get the first one cause I wasn't sure I'd like it but I really did. I'll probably wait awhile but get it eventually. My game dollar for the year is done. Had to replace my 360 bought Uncharted 2 and Dragon Age, which is awesome by the way Btab. Playing through it for the second time with a different starting race and the story has its differences.

Why are you reading this? I have nothing to say to you.

Gosh..it seems like I'm the only one on this forum page that actually bought Assassin's Creed II http://twitpic.com/pwzr0 However, I hadn't started playing it yet. In fact, I hadn't even started playing Uncharted 2 yet....so I'll have to get back at ya'll, for my review.

So far it seems like a big improvement on the previous game, considering the new blending system. The save all of holding the A button to get away from the cautious gaurds it gone thankfully, and now you must actually blend in with the crowd.
While many don't like the new health system which doesn't regenerate health immediately, it really makes you think smarter in attacks and gives you less incentive to charge in with sword drawn. It makes you act more like an assassin.
    So far so good.

I really liked the first one, though many of the missions got super repetative, hopefully AC 2 has addressed some of those intelligence gather missions and created some more variety in the game. Its on my Christmas list with Left 4 Dead 2 and Dragon Age.

I loved the first game, as repetitive as it was. It appealed to my OCD like nature. I even got all the flags

AC2 is on its way to me from Gamefly, and I'm excited. I'm sad to hear that your health doesn't regenerate. I hate when games try to make me actually play better.

you should have seen Demon's Soul.
makes you start from the very beginning of a stage when you Die....plus you start out with half your HP after you die.

as far as AC2. i like how it is. free running is always cool. way better than infamous, cause these buildings are only 4 stories high.
and you guess who like Dragon Age? what's up with that...that game is like playing a old 1990 game....and it even looks worse than some N64 games. hell even Zelda games are better than that, simply because those were free roaming...while DA is linear.

@todosho Demon's Souls is as hardcore as a game can get! You can be just starting off playing, and have your game invaded by a "Black Phantom" that can kill you with one hit...even if your blocking! (beware of B.P. named Demonic Dave who is a level 712) not to mention, once you die..you litterally lose ALL of your souls, with are used to level up your weapons and character stats . Since Belle is hardcore enough to actually have the patience to collect ALL the flags in Assassin's Creed, then she may do well in Demon's Souls, soul gathering.

    Belle is a fellow Xboxer!

@Todosho..oh..lol, oh well. I have nothing but love and respect for all the Xboxers of the world, even though I'm apart of the "Tr3y Brotherhood." At the end of the day, we're all still gamers. I'll probaly get a Xbox 360 when Alan Wake is released. That game looks awesome!

loved the first one. i listened to all the hype it had and picked it up on its release date. wasn't let down at all (@belle i'm jealous..i have a map of the flag locations but i haven't loaded up the game since i left the animus).

this follow up looks just as good if not better and everyone i know that has it hasn't shut up about it (i'm glad). i heard the cut scenes are pretty cool. like you push the right buttons and you get the girl. something like that. and like @cragaleg i'm glad you get to blend into a group of people rather than search for a group of monks (which you looked nothing like wearing a white robe and all but still fooled enemies).

i was told you can still hear the eagles cry when you dive into a hay bail. damn straight they leave that in.

i'll eventually pick it up but i'm trapped in another game at the moment (not against my will).

I have had it with these monkey fightin' snakes on this Monday to Friday plane!

i pre-ordered mine and got it very first day and played it for hours. i liked the first one. but i like how this one is more... i'm not sure if intimate (no pun intended) is the word? i just like how u look more into Ezio's life like family wise. and we see how exactly he became an assassin. love the fact he can swim... and doesn't sink like a damn brick. and the whole dual hidden blade thing. walk up to two people... BAM dead. and just carry on with ur life. i love it. Lol.

I was at a game store near my school, and they had a preview of ACII. Now I really want it. But I can't afford it, as always. But maybe for the holiday season...It actually looks really good and really fun.

    @AntiAmericanGraffiti: Why so negative?

Played the first Assassin's Creed, kind of forced myself to finish it...was underwhelmed. Haven't played the second one yet but I heared they changed much for the better. Despite that, other games are ranked higher on my wishlist.

ok so im about half way through it now..and its awesome. It definitely improved on the gripes i had about the first one. i also like how the missions are all tied into the story kinda like gta. the only problem ive really had has been with the free running and how ezio gets sticky and goes up things i dont want him too..but overall i recommend this game even if you didnt like the first
