This is a case where I think a reboot could work. The Elm Street franchise was basically dead, and Freddy is such a cool character. Just the concept alone sets it apart from almost all the other horror films out there. Now will the film be any good or not is the big question....
As for "Blart 2: Paul Blartier", unfortunately we've run into some issues. Dan has stolen half of my cast for his Cannonball Run remake; Munn is now unavailable because she has a sitcom pilot to shoot; and ninjasquirrel is insisting on far too much Nutella to help me complete writing the script. I spent the last month working on a new draft with Ghostum, only to discover he has written the entire thing with his hand one space over on the keyboard, so everything has come out looking like this:

Needless to say, the producers of the first Blart movie prefer his script.
