I think that's exactly what they were going for. Everything that happens on that island has happened before, and it will happen again. I'm ripping off The Oracle from The Matrix now, aren't I? Anyway, my theory is the Island is kind of essential to keeping the world in "balance." If evil ever triumphs, and gets off the island, we're all screwed. Even what happened to the folks in the temple was kind of like how the "others" took over the island from the scientists, so its just a new group of invaders taking over. Knowing its ending soon is just making me anticipate each episode that much more, and so far it has not disappointed in my opinion.

We have cable, it's just that I only get basic cable mostly so the DVR at my regular house is recording AOTS daily but I can actually watch this episode on my off campus housing!!!

I watched 2 episodes this year just because I was trying to get an idea of what its about before Olivia came in and I wanted to see Pooch Hall. Olivia said it's edgy but i didnt really see it.
