No, I don't mean the 500 billion dollar movie, although I won't be seeing it. The last movie I saw in a theatre was "Jaws." I mean here, at the Olivia forum. Y'see, I'm using something called "WebTV", which actually changed it's name to "MSNtv" without any kind of useful upgrade. I know you Overlanders have no idea what I'm talking about, so I'll try to explain that WebTV is the Internet for complete morons, a box that one hooks up to their TV. When it was started back in the late '50s it was a Godsend to those of us that couldn't afford a real computer and with what was on the web at the time it worked fine. Slowly but surely we Bottomdwellers started to get left behind. Stuff went from just simply appearing as a blank screen to actually freezing our units.. (Heh.. Right now my unit is freezing..) Many websites simply stopped working with good ol' WebTV. There is a cool legion of WebTV hardliners that help out with the problems faced by us, showing work arounds such as sites that remove stuff from sites that allow us to view a lot. I was stunned when I first tried Olivia's site here and it loaded, albeit very, very slowly, and the few posts I read made me want to be a part of the forum. I say "few" as it takes several minutes to see a post, and at first one is thinking what the heck else do I have to do, but it weighs you down after a handful of posts. I joined and was very happy that it worked to start with, then went about trying to see about how to do stuff. I didn't even know if I'd be able to post, but I wanted to be ready right out of the gate. (Good ol' WebTV will often let you fill out a whole thing but then when you hit "Submit" or "Send" or "Checkout" or such you get the wonderful, please-shoot-me-now "Phantom Click" where nothing happens. And there's not much you can do after that. (Yahoo! mail recently started it but we can still log-in from the Yahoo! mobile site. I wonder when that will end?) I was thrilled to find out that I could see this forum, and Olivia's Twitter page, through a site called "Skweezer". I mean, I can get through a lot of posts with enough speed to ease thoughts of suicide, but to actually log-in and post myself I have to go back to "regular" Olivia. Again, I wanted to use the "avatar" (other message boards I've been on always called them "Profile Pictures") I've used as Rocky (Rocket J. Squirrel) and wanted to set it up before my first post, but I couldn't figure it out. I saw a note in a post about e-mailing a moderator with questions and tried that. He was very gracious and helpful to answer, but I found out yet again that good ol' WebTV has it's horseshit limitations. I was able to get an e-mail from "Gravatar" but can't log-in, as it just keeps returning to the log-in page. This is really frustrating as it doesn't even give the "Phantom Click", it actually appears to be working but isn't. On New Year's Eve recently a hilarious joke popped in my squirrelly brain and I thought, "What the hell.. Might as well start off 2010 finding out I can't post at Olivia's board." But my post, "Crap.", actually worked and was wildly applauded as the best post ever that appeared three minutes after midnight on January 1st, 2010. I was a star. A star was born. A starry star that was just birthed of a starry post. I was also really, really curious how my post turned into a discussion of "scat", but at least I now know a bit about you Overlanders.. Blah de blah blah.. If you fine folks allow me to stay you'll find I tend write long posts because once I get to a place online it seems best to make the most of it. I just wanted you to know my situation with WebTV and the limitations I have. It eats me up that I can't see most of the cool stuff that's here - mainly videos of Olivia and such (nothing will "play" on good ol' WebTV, not YouTube or anything other than really simple .gifs..) but I'm too set in my ways, as in broke, to change to a real computer, especially when WebTV is for idiots so I don't even know if I could use a real computer. I have an online friend who says a Mac is a lot like WebTV, as in easy to use, but they are the most expensive. (I'm going to relate a computer story in the Olivia "MyMag" thread, assuming this will actually post and I don't fall asleep. And yes, plenty of times a site will work once or twice then send me packing, so I sure hope this will post. It took a lot to be this damn clever and interesting..) If this was too long winded for you, just don't click on anything I post. I've got a whole lotta wind. I apologize if it's just too much but it's me. Hey I was talking about this in another thread and I thought I'd toss it out there. As we are all members of OMFG, we need something easier to say when we refer to ourselfs. OMFG'ers is a mouthful. Members of an Olivia Munn Fan Group should be called Munnions. We are all different people (layers) on the forum, but at the core we dig Olivia. There was also Munnonites, but I like Munnions better. Any takers or do I just have to much free time?

Happy Birthday Minja ! Seems like there was speculation about your birthday. I was wondering this recently and figured you wouldn't say. So is this early (I know that much =P). Well on no particular day of some month this year you would will be celebrating a birthday =P. So if you see some one walking around in LA with a sombrero eating bacon go up to him and wish him a happy birthday, 'cause it's probably Minja ! Sorry for the sombrero profiling =P. If he says he's not Minja don't believe him, just say you know him from the OMFG forums, Twitter, or Facebook. If he denies knowing you, tell him to drop the act or you'll have his ass deported.
