Wanna a little taste of Freddy Krueger?

The remake or reimagining or revisit or retake  (or whatever it is the call remakes of horror movies this day) of A Nightmare on Elm Street and it stars Watchmen’s Jackie Earle Haley.

They just put out a teaser trailer (that’s similar to the one fans who were in HALL H at Comic-Con got to see) and it shows Haley in all his glory as the lovable Freddy Krueger… okay, lovable is the wrong way to describe Freddy, but I just love Haley so much that it makes me love Freddy!

The Men Who Stare at Goats…

SlashFilm says “Positive reviews are coming in, and the underlying impression is that if you were hoping for a kooky, madcap comedy based on the trailer, that’s more or less exactly what you’ll get.”

The Men Who Stares at Goats stars Ewan McGregor and George Clooney who are part of an experimental U.S. military unit using ancient Chinese mind techniques to develop paranormal powers for American soldiers.

“the hobbit” gets a second life!

hobbit

J.R.R. Tolkien’s family had put a stop to the production of The Hobbit movie. The Tolkien family sued New Line for at least $150 million in damages for failing to pay 7.5% of gross receipts from the three Lord of the Rings films, which brought in an estimated $6 billion combined.

But thankfully both parties have settled on an undisclosed amount.

Christopher Tolkien said, “The Trustees regret that legal action was necessary, but are glad that this dispute has been settled on satisfactory terms that will allow the Tolkien Trust properly to pursue its charitable objectives. The Trustees acknowledge that New Line may now proceed with its proposed films of ‘The Hobbit.‘ ”

Did you hear that? They can now proceed with The Hobbit!!

So, I’d officially like to toss my name in the hat to play the starring role of Bilbo Baggins! I think I could look like him with a little makeup…
