A balloon set adrift today by a 6-year-old boy from his parents’ Colorado home was empty when it landed.
So he either landed safely and went for a walk. OR he fell the fuck out of it. I mean, it’s a goodamm ballloon.
Some people are saying it’s a hoax or ploy for attention from the family. A sibling had reported seeing the boy on board. His science enthusiasts parents were featured on ABC’s Wife Swap in March, so they might just be eccentric weirdos who are trying to get famous. OR he really did fly off in a balloon and now he’s missing.
Either way, it’s sad.

Sounds like he was never in it. I’m guessing he untethered it, and then got scared when it started to take off, so he ran and hid somewhere.

in the backyard is where I spent most of my days
soarin and swoopin and bein all cool
and flyin a balloon instead of bein in school
when a couple of tethers
they where up to no good
made me fly way up out my neighborhood
I went on one little flight and my brother got scared
and said “My bros in that basket way up in the air”
So.. whistled for a chopper and when it came near
The side said ‘Channel 9′ and it had guys in there
If anything I could say that this situation was rare,
but I thought ‘ ah forget it, jump out, no care.’
I landed on the ground at quite a high rate
and yelled to the news crew “yo homes, find me later”
and at long last, I was finally there,
to relinquish my basket as the king of hot air.

That thing was moving along at a fast speed in the CNN video, so fast the camera man (or woman) couldn’t keep it in frame at all times. Also, in the landing video, you can see a small Orb bouncing around the top left…. which makes me know with out any more logical questioning who has the child….

This is one crazy story. My question is can the parents be arrested for being such dumb asses. Who the hell builds a UFO shape balloon in their barn? and then leaves their six year old alone with it? Shouldn’t the boy be in school. Seriously. I hope the boy is safe and away from his idiot parents.
