Billy Mays dies.

Billy Mays, awesome spokesman of everything you’d ever want, died last night in his sleep.

He was only 50.

I had just posted this picture… I guess Vince Shlomi has more work now.

Damn im gonna miss Billy. That guy could sell me fucking air and i’d buy it in a second. =[

  2. I’m tell ya. Vince Shlomi made him eat some Sham-wow and it sucked up all of his insides. Damn that crafty Vince!!!!

  3. R.I.P

  4. Rest in Peace Mr. Mays

  5. I’m gonna miss Billy Mays, I loved seeing him on T.V. yelling at me to buy something. Billy Mays truly made info-mercials what they were. Bye bye Billy, I’ll miss you yelling at me to buy Oxy Clean.

  6. This is 5 in the death pool, they always die in 3’s
    David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah

MJ, Billy Mays, who is next? Patrick Swayze?

  7. I just read that he died due to an enlarged heart.

  8. lazygooddog | June 29, 2009 at 8:54 pm

    uhmmm, i got nothing

  9. I’m more sad about him dying than MJ. Hey, Billy Mays had MUCH more of an impact on my life than MJ did. Billy made me laugh. Can’t say the same for Mr. Jackson…. the tribute to him on your guys’ show today made me tear up, not gonna lie. I always liked Vince better, but Billy was the undisputed king of infomercials and he was taken from us way too soon. R.I.P Billy - Heaven is gonna be squeaky fucking clean with you and all your cleaning products up there.

  10. I started watching Pitchmen recently, and found out that Billy was a very funny, likable guy. His son was really enthralled with his dad and pleased to direct him in his own first commercial (for his Uncle’s restaurant)- and Billy has an adorable 1 1/2 yr. old blond girl that is so sweet.

I feel really bad for his family- he seemed like a great guy to be around regardless of his unique pitch style that made him famous.

Some of the products might be crappy, but others truly worked- he knew his stuff!

Really, much more upset over Billy Mays than Michael Jackson.

  11. This is really a shocker……the world has lost one of it’s brightest stars…….

  12. Can anybody do an Total Recall(sorry for bad movie pun) on so much celebrity death,I’m mean is Vegas taking odds on who’s next list….i bet(get it)someone is. Geeze, Hey Olivia - Let’s call it Hollywood Death Domino’s. Also who’s next in the Death Note??

That is really sad I didn’t even about him dying.

  14. what the?!?! too much dying going on… i finally laid rest to my baby blanket :(… good bye winnie!!! and billy mays… you both will be missed…

  15. so many people are dead, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and now billy (the oxy clean guy) mays passed on sunday, the grim reaper is now a serial killer now

  16. i’m so sad! but that picture is priceless hahaha.

  17. Poor Jaboody Dubs. What will he do now?!

  18. i wonder what will show up in the autopsy

  19. As annoying as I found Billy Mays, it’s a damn shame he’s gone. Infomercials will never be the same, and Vince just doesn’t cut it.

  21. The trade mark beard will be missed …..

  22. A lot of popular people dying these days… It’s Light Yagami’s fault!! Waaahhh!!!

  23. mykindastupid | June 28, 2009 at 11:31 pm

Jabo0odyDubs just lost his meal ticket

  24. now we can’t watch Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan bitch at each other anymore on pitchmen. So so sad

  25. Too much death this week….

  26. now the king of salesmanship is dead. R.I.P. Billy Mays

  27. That’s just insane…I mean, three celebs within a week? Guess the power of three actually does happen…(if two bad things happen, a third is sure to follow)

  28. what where the odds?

  29. wow my hart go out to his family

  30. dangit, he was the best salesman ever

  31. Well, I hope Discovery Channel runs a Pitchmen marathon tomorrow or sometime soon so we won’t forget him. Honestly, I’d give Billy Mays my life just so he could live on. No offense to Ed, Michael, and Farrah, but Billy has done more to help get this economy going again than the other three.

  32. rip
so much for oxy clean living
    rip
    This is wierd

  33. crazy just crazy. will be missed, buying products at night just got a whole lot more boring

  34. Well that just sucks.

The guy who punches *yeah he did* hookers gets to keep living while the supremely more popular Al from Home Improvement looking man dies.

    Crappit.

  35. …and the Shamwow guy has the last laugh. :/

  36. AmericanEric01 | June 28, 2009 at 6:23 pm

You’ll be missed Billy. Olivia, did you jinx him?

  37. Karma’s a MOFO

  38. Weeks from now, his wife will still be digging his beard hairs out of furniture. She’ll sigh and tear up. Can’t buy anything to take that pain away … yet.

  39. Now who’s going to sell all of the Oxyclean and Kaboom?

  40. Another one bites the dust.

  41. Lol, the first thing I thought to myself when I heard this today was OMG, how the hell did Olivia Munn know so quickly? You randomly post his picture and bam hes DEADED. Anyways, I’m sad to see him go, he was sort of a cultural icon and I can’t help but wonder if there aren’t 2 more celebrities awaiting death. Please host a Deathwatch on your site so we can all pick who’s going next… My vote is for ADAM SESSLER.

  42. brokenreality | June 28, 2009 at 5:39 pm

This seriously sucks a big one. Billy is my hero. I hope they have a ton of unaired commercials of his that they can keep releasing.

  43. R.I.P to the “King of Oxi-Clean”

  44. WTF?! Is 50 like the new 70?

Michael and Billy die at the same age?
And i just talked shit about this dude on the last post.
    He did seem evil though..

    Sooo who’s next Danny Glover?

  45. Roronoa Zoro | June 28, 2009 at 5:20 pm

It’s been a sad and crazy week. RIP.

  46. I hear they will be using the Awesome Auger to dig his grave…

  47. How sad, my father and i were just watching pitchmen and cracking jokes about him like 3 days ago and now i found out he died today, this isnt a good month. hopefully July will turn out better. RIP Billy.

  48. Seriously? June has not been a good month for famous people….

  49. RobTheInternet | June 28, 2009 at 4:32 pm

Wow, that is so weird how Olivia just posted this pic, then poof he’s dead. I was also watching an infomercial of his last night. So creepy.

  50. WTF.
This is a god damn weird week.
Not a very good week to be a celebrity.
    R.I.P. Billy.
Do you think you could put up a more respectful photo Olivia?

    • no way!!! if Billy Mays was one thing, it was competitive… he would want to be seen next to a picture of his competition shown broken and beaten. this photo puts a smile on my face.
