Apple making a tablet? i hear it’s true….
The rumors that surfaced in Tawian about the Apple Tablet that would come out in October for $800 are starting to sound real.
The Taiwanese site InfoTimes reports that the device will have a 9.7-inch touchscreen, making it a tad smaller than most netbooks but adding touchcreen features and iPod mystique.
According to a translation in MacRumors Forum, three Taiwanese companies - Foxconn, Wintek and Dynapack - have received orders related to the device.
It’s unclear if this is a tablet without a keyboard or a more conventional netbook.. or just be completely touch screen.
Hhmmm.. I’ll take my 1,000,000 shares of Apple, please.

We need thousands of this tablet for our University:
- Light (200 to 400 g). The MacBook Air is too heavy for us!
- Small (pocketable if possible). The MacBook Air is too large for us!
- Mac OS X inside to run NATIVE Apple Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint files. Editing them a bonus.
- Video-out port for full blown presentations on videoprojector.
- Firewire for Target Disk Mode repairs.
- Ethernet port for wired Internet. Yes, we need it wired!
- At least two USB2 ports for wireless remote control and pendrive.
Can Apple deliver?
Someday it will be possible to connect to Internet and do all PC jobs just with something even easier to handle. Just one click and go, well get earphones with cam and proyector and while walking in the street, make a circle with our fingers and see the watch, and make one square in the air and see tv hologram, and making two circles watch Olivia´s boob….. oh, hey!! sorry, sorry, ejem, the pc alerts me of an increassing amount of hot weather over my brain. Ok, ok, restart pc again, ejem….

This seems like a natural evolution (oxymoron I know) for Apple. I know it would make working on the computer while on the couch or in bed so much easier. Apple share price is @ 147.52 FYI.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I hate Mac. I dislike the iPod and the Zune… but the iTouch and iPhone have won in my book. I believe that if Mac tries to excel in making devices that have more mobility and versatility, much like the iPhone, they are going to be one hell of company. The fact that you can have a powerful machine that fits in your pocket, or like this tablet, carry around and be a very powerful piece of tech is going to change the world. It’s almost a Monopoly that Mac is running with this type of tech and I for one am very impressed.
But, like I said, I love my Alienware PC and Laptop and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Mac is going to probably branch off to be the standard for all of the new tech that is brought in for personal mobile use.
As long as they don’t make tiny asian girl lap pillows… I have nothing to hate as of right now…
